The objective of Vishva Hindu Parishad in Mauritius is to organise and consolidate the Hindu society and to serve and protect the Hindu Dharma.

It acts as an institution dedicated to the overall welfare of the Hindu community living in Mauritius. With close ties with India and other associations worldwide, and under the leadership of Shri Mahen Rajkoomar, President, its activities are guided by the Council members. The Executive Committee and a team of dedicated volunteers are working to promote the social cause with their voluntary efforts and contributions.

Organisations structure

Vishwa Hindu Parishad Mauritius operates with an Executive Committee made up of 11 members including the President, secretary and admin, and in consultation with Patrons, contributors and honorific members.
The committee elects 9 district presidents, as well as local Community Leaders & volunteers in each city and village of the island to stay connected with the community and ensure quick response when required.

World Hindu Economic Forum

VHP Mauritius contributes to the progress of society through four key areas via its economic forum, namely economy, education/academia, media and politics.
The aim is or organise and deploy resources for eligible projects that will contribute to the empowerment of community members and Hindu culture on the Island.
